Who we are

This site is run by Ten Eleven Twelve LLC, Austin, Texas, which publishes Will Simpson's books as NightOwl Publications. Write to will@willsimpsonauthor.com about anything on this page.

What we collect, and why

  • Letters: your email address, where you signed up, and the free chapter you asked for. We use it to send the Texas Sharks letters and the chapter. You confirm your address before anything else is sent, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
  • Ebooks bought here: payment is handled by Link, Stripe's checkout service, which is the seller of record and has its own privacy policy. We receive your name, your email address and your answer to "Where did you hear about the book?", and we use your email to send your download link.
  • Signed copies bought here: payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your name, your email address, your shipping address, and the name and inscription you ask for. We use them to sign and ship your copy and to keep the sales-tax records the law requires.
  • Paperbacks and hardcovers: ordered on IngramSpark's own checkout, under IngramSpark's privacy policy. IngramSpark does not share your details with us.
  • Comments: if you comment on a letter, your display name and your comment are public. Your email address is never shown. We keep your comments until you ask us to remove them, and we may remove any comment. Signing in to comment adds you to the letters, which you confirm by email and can leave from any email.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics and PostHog measure how the site is used. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, they only run if you say yes, and anyone can change their answer at any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page.
